The composition is announced as an oriental blend of fresh spices and hot resins and woods. The fragrance was created by two IFF perfumers – Anne Flipo and Caroline Dumur. Their goal was to convey "the feeling of skin trembling with desire and burning with pleasure." The perfumers followed this idea when creating a composition with two accords that contrast and harmonize with each other.

Pure XS is a vibrant, magnetic, and fresh oriental fragrance, constantly fluctuating between cold and hot, gentle and intense. Two sensations on the edge, rubbing, attracting, and echoing each other.
